As expected in my article Apple Event on September 9th 2015 – AI Siri, iPhone 6S, Apple TV and Pro iPad, Apple unveiled several products including a revamped Apple TV on Wednesday September 9th 2015 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.
To be specific, Apple unveiled the following products:
- 12” Apple iPad Pro
- Upgraded Apple TV
- 7” Apple iPhone 6S
- 5” Apple iPhone 6S Plus
The Apple iPhone 6S and the Apple iPhone 6S Plus, as expected, were a slight improvement over the Apple iPhone 6 and the Apple iPhone 6 Plus as reported last year September in Apple iPhone 6 and Plus with 128GB Storage and Apple Pay is Biggest iPhone Launch.
Truth be told, the Apple iPad Pro with its Apple Pencil (not a stylus!) and the improved Apple TV were the real show stealers! Also no news on Apple Music or any improvement to other peripherals such as the Apple Mouse or keyboard!
At least the Apple Watch got some major updates and a partnership with Hermes and Mac OS X 10.11 aka El Capitan will be coming out Wednesday September 30th 2015 as promised in Apple WWDC 2015 debuts OS X 10.11, Watch OS 2.0 and Apple Music.

Apple iPhone 6S and the Apple iPhone 6S Plus will go on sale in some one hundred and thirty (130) countries across the world by the end of 2015.

They’ll come in the following options at the following prices, including 2-year contract and unlocked options that’s growing in popularity. In keeping with the trend among US Carriers who are moving away from 2-year contract plans, Apple has launched an easy way for older iPhone users to upgrade.
Dubbed the iPhone Upgrade Program and available only in the US of A, you can purchase each model of the Apple iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus in Monthly installments over a two (2) year period. You also get AppleCare, Apple’s Warranty Coverage program that makes the iPhone Upgrade Program so enticing.
If during that period of time you wish to upgrade to another Apple iPhone, you can do so without the penalty of breaking you Apple iPhone contract by just trading in your Apple iPhone for a new model.
But to get a real sense of how the Apple iPhone compares to other products you need to compare them with other top-of-the-line smartphones!
So here’s a handy chart that shows you how the Apple iPhone 6S and the Apple iPhone 6S Plus stacks up against the best Google Android smartphones in its class, that being the LG G4 and Sony Xperia Z5 Premium and the Samsung Galaxy S6 as detailed in How Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Keyboard Cover Nostalgia wins Applause.
Folks, the Cupertino Kids have delivered. Now get back in line to be the first to get your Apple iPhone 6S and the Apple iPhone 6S Plus!
