HP’s New Ultra-Thin, Multi-Touch, Tablet PC

With the current revolution taking place in the Touch Screen and Tablet PC market, especially since the release of the iPad, many manufacturers refuse to be left out of the growing trend and hope to capture their own chunk of the tech pie. HP has jumped in the race with its HP EliteBook 2740p, Ultra-thin, Multi-touch, Convertible Tablet and notebook PC set to be available in the US in April of this year for as much as $1,599. As usual, the coolest gadgets always seem to be out of my affordable price range. Google Introduces Buzz for Gmail

Google has dipped it's toe into the social networking pool before but it official dived in today with the revelation of Google Buzz - a new service it described as "a Google approach to sharing". Comparisons have already been drawn with the current social networking kingpins Twitter and Facebook but just how useful will Buzz be? A Google branded phone has been on and off the rumor radar for many months but about 2 weeks ago it shred it's "rumor" label and blasted into reality with the revelation that thousands of Google phones called "Nexus One" were given to Google employees for testing and that the official release of the phone was right around the corner and set for January 2010. One Laptop Per Child XO-3 Concept

The concept form of the latest version of the $100 laptop was unveiled recently. The touchscreen tablet-like device was shown off my the One Laptop Per Child Group who are a non-profit organization which aims to allow children in the developing world to have access to affordable technology. XO-3 is expected to be put into use in 2012 and cost around $75. It will replace the current models of $100 laptops currently in use by the OLPC and the booklike XO-2 model displayed previously will be shelved. (more…)
