Twitter getting an Overhaul

The popular microblogging and social networking service Twitter will be overhauling the web interface of it's website starting today, with the entire 200 million user base getting the upgrade over the next few weeks. Partnerships with DailyBooth, DeviantART, Etsy, Flickr, Justin.TV, Kickstarter, Kiva, Photozou, Plixi, Twitgoo, TwitPic, TwitVid, USTREAM, Vimeo, yfrog, and YouTube will turn Twitter's web interface into a massive multimedia hub and transform and hopefully improve the user experience. Twitter’s Special FIFA World Cup Page

Twitter's has unveiled a new FIFA World Cup page that allows fans of the World Cup to stay connected to action using the micro-blogging service. The page located at http://twitter.com/worldcup made from live widgets, the Top Tweets algorithm, and real-time search put together on one page. Twitter users can easily click on the flag of a team to see the date and times of each of that team's matches, their opponents and to follow live tweets happening all over the world related to that match. Twitter Announces @anywhere Service

Twitter has unveiled their new @anywhere service at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. @anywhere will allow internet users to interact with websites and website users. Website developers would be able to add @anywhere functionality to their websites by using a simple Javascript code. Amazon, AdAge, Bing, Citysearch, Digg, eBay, The Huffington Post, Meebo, MSNBC.com, The New York Times, Salesforce.com, Yahoo!, and YouTube are some of the major websites that they report will use the service right away but no date has been set for when it will officially come on-stream but it is expected soon.
