Twitter getting an Overhaul

The popular microblogging and social networking service Twitter will be overhauling the web interface of it's website starting today, with the entire 200 million user base getting the upgrade over the next few weeks. Partnerships with DailyBooth, DeviantART, Etsy, Flickr, Justin.TV, Kickstarter, Kiva, Photozou, Plixi, Twitgoo, TwitPic, TwitVid, USTREAM, Vimeo, yfrog, and YouTube will turn Twitter's web interface into a massive multimedia hub and transform and hopefully improve the user experience. Youtube is one of the most popular websites on the internet and offers visitors the opportunity to watch, upload and share videos on the internet. It is reported that over 24 hours of video is uploaded to Youtube every minute and Youtube recently recorded over 2 billion (yes that's with nine zeros) video views in one day. Twitter Announces @anywhere Service

Twitter has unveiled their new @anywhere service at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. @anywhere will allow internet users to interact with websites and website users. Website developers would be able to add @anywhere functionality to their websites by using a simple Javascript code. Amazon, AdAge, Bing, Citysearch, Digg, eBay, The Huffington Post, Meebo, MSNBC.com, The New York Times, Salesforce.com, Yahoo!, and YouTube are some of the major websites that they report will use the service right away but no date has been set for when it will officially come on-stream but it is expected soon. Google Introduces Buzz for Gmail

Google has dipped it's toe into the social networking pool before but it official dived in today with the revelation of Google Buzz - a new service it described as "a Google approach to sharing". Comparisons have already been drawn with the current social networking kingpins Twitter and Facebook but just how useful will Buzz be?
