Digicel Jamaica Wimax Review – Part 1

Digicel’s long anticipated WIMAX 4G has finally gone live after months of testing and fine tuning the network for optimum performance. The service is set to rival LIME’s broadband ADSL, mobile 3G connectivity being offered by Claro and LIME and the newcomer Dekal Wireless with their wireless broadband based on Wifi. As you can see WIMAX (World Interoperability for Microwave Access) has a lot of competitors offering increasingly better rates and speeds to consumers in Jamaica, so it has a lot of ground to make up in the first few months of it’s incarnation. How does Digicel’s WIMAX stand up to these rival services? In Part 1 of this Digicel Jamaica Wimax Review I will be covering 2 main areas. Netbook Misconception – My NC10 Review

I have been using desktops for a long time and I decided I wanted something with some mobility several items came to mind tablets, netbooks, laptops etc, but in the end I decided to get a netbook because it had the best of tablets and the laptop. One of my main reasons for avoiding the tablets was the touch technology I was thinking of the long run and the maintenance and or possible repair if needed and just the life/longevity of the touch interface led me to question it, in regards to the Laptops my main turn off was the massive size especially the types of Laptops that I was interested in and of course there was also the price factor so at the end of the day for features, durability and price I choose to get the Netbook. Not for High End Software Now I'm tired of reading and heari...

Opera mobile(Nokia s60 version) final review.

Opera mobile has widely been seen as the most popular 3rd party native browser for smartphones ever. This browser for Symbian all started back in 2003 with the advent of opera 6.0 for Nokia s60 (then series 60) smartphones based on OS v6.1 . Devices such as the Nokia Ngage, Ngage QD, Nokia 6600, Nokia 6620 all ran opera quite dutifully with some such as the 6620 even shipping with the browser in it's trial version. Opera mobile version 6.1 was released later the same year with a few improvements such as support for WML (WAP) and proxy servers (rendering it capable of using the WAP settings in mobile phones). The biggest jump of the browser came in 2005 with the release of opera v8.0 and opera 8.5 consecutively, all breaking compatibility with the older Symbian os6.1 devices (Ngage, Ngage Q...

A lot has changed since the dawn of the gaming genre know as "Real-Time Strategy" I remember the days of Command & Conquer, Age Of Empires, Empire Earth etc..... but I specifically remember spending hours upon hours on StarCraft now that was my "Real-Time Strategy" of choice. RTS + RPG hybrids As time passed slowly the "RTS (Real-Time Strategy)" genre developed and evolved and the build your army to destroy your enemies army and obliterate his/her base of command started to change, it started focusing more on the development of one character and the use of a smaller army WarCraft III lead this arena well concentrating on the building and use of main characters like Arthas and labeled them as "Heroes" the "RTS" started to slowly mix characteristics of "RPGs (Role Playing Games)" whe...
