Steam Machine by Valve - Kemory Grubb For 2014, my prediction for gadget/technology of the year, will be the Steam Machine by Valve. The hardware specs, the controller, the operating system, the price, the content delivery platform and company behind it all. All these reasons are more than enough to justify my choice but i will single out the most important reason why i think it will succeed - the competition. Current-gen game consoles such as the Xbox One or the PS4 can't compete against a platform that uses regular PC hardware. Imagine swapping out the video card of a store bought game console with a store bought video card. That's a win. Are these the drones you are looking for? - Lindsworth Deer Skycam Jamaica Aerial and Video Photography business flourishes in Jamaica as I’d re...

NVIDIA Shows off the $999 GTX Titan

Popular graphics card manufacturer NVidia today revealed the Nvidia GTX Titan, a beast of a graphics card both in power and price. Billed as a GPU for supercomputers the GTX Titan's true triumph is its efficiency and size. It generates less heat, consumes less power, runs quieter and is small enough to fit into compact PCs. The Nvidia GTX Titan contains 2,688 CUDA cores, 6GB of GDDR5 RAM, and 7.1 billion transistors and will be available starting on February 25. Far too rich for my blood but in a year or two these powerful cards should trickle down from the cutting edge PC enthusiasts to the regular gamers like me. More Information - NVidia GTX Titan

Nvidia shows off “Project Shield” mobile gaming console

The first major reveal of CES 2013 surprisingly comes from chip maker Nvidia who has surprisingly revealed details about their new handheld gaming console code named "Project Shield". The handheld will be powered by Android Jelly Bean and have access not only Android games but games from the download service Steam. The system is powered by Nvidia's new quad-core Tegra 4 chip, has 5-inch 720p multi-touch display, wi-fi connectivity and integrated display. I am not sold on its clam-shell design and I'd describe it the product of a Xbox, Ps3, 3DS and Wii-U mating session. However, this is the most exciting but of gaming hardware news in a while, lets see how it develops. More details: shield.nvidia.com

It brings the affordability of the 1st generation Transformer and marries it with the raw power of the Prime to present a very attractive product. No news on price or availability yet but if the price is right I expect these to fly off the shelves. Nvidia and the Quad-Core Kal-El CPU – Android leaves A5 Dual-Core Processor in the Dust

It’s bad enough that the Apple iPad, less than two (2) years on, is slowly getting the wind kicked out of their sails by the still disorganized Android based Tablets as my article Android Tablets gain on the Apple iPad – Here Comes the Hot Steppa points out. Now, if Apple is not packing the goods with an upcoming A6 Processor for the next Apple iPad 3, they may soon be beaten on performance and speed as well. This as albeit the Apple iPad 2’s A5 Dual-Core Processor set the bar for performance as stated in my adoration piece entitled Apple iPad 2 – Dual-Core Easy Skankin’, Nvidia has decided to turn it  up a Notch, DragonBall Z Style.
