New Year, New You? Get a New App! #NYResolution Check-in

Here we are. Its mid February and i am in shock. Just yesterday i was rolling over to the dawn of a whole new year and some how, between the yawning and stretching, a month ran past! Apart of that rolling over into the New Year process began with me doing something that a bazillion other people across the world did also. We put pen to paper and with blooms of promise budding in our hearts we wrote words of hope for what our 2015 would look like (mostly about what our abs and bank accounts would look for the most part). Yes, those things. Resolutions. Exciting to write but oh so difficult to keep. Or are they? I sat down and spoke to a few people just like me and you who have been working on keeping their resolution achievement on track with a few apps that maybe you would find useful...

New Twitter Profiles more than just a Facebook-like Redesign

A new Twitter design is coming; if fact it has already arrived for a select few celebrity tweeters like Michelle Obama, Floyd Mayweather and the lovely Kerry Washington. The early verdict seems to be that the new design is just a ripoff of Facebook's design but those with a keen eye will see how much of an improvement the updates will be for Twitter users. Twitter's growth has stagnated in recent months but it still remains very relevant and useful. The new design comprises of a new wide background photo with profile picture at the top but that's where the Facebook similarities end. New information for profiles include a "date joined" section listing the month and year the user joined Twitter. However the big three updates for the new Twitter are Best Tweets: Tweets that have receiv...

Samsung Introduces the GALAXY S4

Smartphones are getting Smarter, yes I know how cliche that sounds but I am serious. When your smartphone starts to put your meteorologist and doctor out of work then you should realize that Skynet isn't fiction and the scenes from Terminator might be a peek into the future. To say the Samsung S4 is stuffed to the core with tech would be an understatement, the damn thing is hi-tech even at an atomic level. Looks like the S3, but the similarities end there The Samsung was launched in New York via a poorly scripted Broadway style show that featured everything from tap dancing kids to jabs and Apple but it did little to digress from the monster of a phone the Samsung S4 is. I kept my pulse on the Twitter comments during the live stream and picked the brain of my Android loving colleagues ...

Newspapers vs Online publications

Newspapers have been around for ages, they have evolved from handwritten sheets on handmade paper to sheets printed in modern printing press factories. With all this evolution however, how far can newspapers really evolve to match up with our increasingly digital world? The physical paper dying? Even with a history of several hundred years many believe that the days of the physical newspaper are numbered. The advent of the Kindle, iPad and other upcoming tablets and related handheld technology reinforced this belief that many had and managed to pull in some more revolutionists who never believed such a move previously. While many might agree that the ipad and/or Kindle etc is nothing big, the concept that it brings have been felt throughout the media world with newspapers releasing eboo...
