Apple iPhone 5S and 5C Shortages means it’s coming to LIME Jamaica in November 2013

Curiously too, the demand for the Apple iPhone 5S in all its golden beauty continues unabated beating the Apple iPhone 5C three to one since it went on sale in the US of A on Friday September 20th 2013 aka Christmas day for Apple iPhone aficionados according to Analyst Localytics, who published their stats over the Apple Sales Weekend aka Christmas for Apple Fans. Yahoo’s Flickr iOS App Gets an Update

When Yahoo acquired Flickr in 2005, Gizmodo lashed out at it calling it a disaster. Flickr once dominated the scene of photo hosting, sharing, and showcase for photographers. Apparently, Yahoo’s acquisition is deemed to have made Flickr, flicker? Maybe Flickr’s “epic humble brag” -- as Gizmodo puts it -- wasn’t so empty after all. It looks like Yahoo is indeed working hard to reach a point where it once was. The fact that is that it’s a crowded market, this one. The likes of Amazon, Apple, Google, and many other smaller companies vie for this space and Yahoo’s struggle is understandable. For a while now, Yahoo has had to work harder than most to keep up its value. Rampant competition, ever-changing dynamics of Internet, and the sheer hunger for “new” on the web has been putting pr...

Apple’s Golden Dragon iPhone 5S and C for Caring iPhone 5C may be coming on Tuesday September 10th 2013

Apple may have something up its sleeve on Tuesday September 10th 2013 and it may be the Apple iPhone, according to All Things Digital Reporter Ina Fried. The much expected Apple iPhone 5S, which this time around may get getting an Anodized Gold coating. Add to that anticipation the expectation of a budget Apple iPhone 5C. Thus I’m now on the lookout for invites to be sent out sometime next week or the 1st Week of September the latest. I’m excited but not surprised, however, as the above are all explainable: both of these changes are geared at getting the Apple iPhone access to the huge Chinese, Indian, Russian and Developing Markets. Apple is yet to full tap into the still growing Far East Market whose economies are experiencing phenomenal growth thanks to their business dealings with C...

iOS 6: Sign of Apple Stumbling?

I am surrounded by Apple products daily; an iMac, an iPad 2 and an iPhone. I use the iPad 2 the most and have grown to appreciate it’s benefits when compared to a traditional laptop or desktop computer. One of the things that gets to me though is the inability for the system to properly multitask(when youtube is sent to the background for example it stops playing) and play flash files, two things that a tablet computer should be able to do in this day and age. There was renewed hope for these improvements when the iOS 6 was announced, I was hoping that I will be able to get what I truly want out of an iPad. The ‘improvements’ that came with the iOS6 update is sadly disappointing, as a matter of fact they seem less like improvements and more like simple add-on patches. Take for example t...

By now folks you may have read my article How to make you own Micro-SIM or Nano-SIM Card and How to Access LIME or Digicel’s 4G Internet using an unlocked 4G LTE Modem Dongle, smartphone or Tablet and realized that being part of the “IN” Crowd with your Blackberry may not win you much admiration with the nascent and newly emergent uber-Geek “SMART” Crowd. Consisting of mostly IT peeps and “techies”, they’re not so popular at the workplace. But they’re gear, smartphones and Tablets, are carrying the swing at the water cooler and in the lunch room right now as Millennials (ages 18 to 28) are leading the transition to Mobile Computing on smartphones and Tablets as noted in Apple iPhone boosts Jamaican smartphone usage as BB goes Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, something your Blackberry can’t do. Add...

How to make your own Micro-SIM or Nano-SIM Card

Despite what you may wish to say about Apple, they are truly the real innovators in the Telecoms World when it comes to smartphones. Their Apple iPhone with its introduction of Capacitive Touch Screen that removes the physical keyboard has become the much envied and copied smartphone tech in the UE (User Equiptment) world. And now with 4G Internet available on both Digicel and LIME and my guide How to Access LIME or Digicel’s 4G Internet using an unlocked 4G LTE Modem Dongle, smartphone or Tablet you have more reason to leave the “IN” Crowd still banging away at their semi-extinct Blackberrys and join the “smart” crowd with you newly imported smartphone. Apple patents Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds as Wireless Bluetooth Speakers take Flight

Looks like Apple is cranking up the innovation engine again, so soon after the debut of the Apple iPhone 5 on Tuesday September 11th 2012 as covered in Kelroy’s article iPhone 5 Announced – Slimmer, Taller and Faster. After the successful launch of the Apple iPhone 5, it went on sale on Friday September 21 with the customary long lines expected of any Apple Product going on sale. The Apple iPhone 5 has broken the previous sales record set by the Apple iPhone 4S, with two million (2, 000,000) iPhones sold in the first 24 Hours. But the untold story seems to be the Apple iPod Nano and the Apple iPod Touch both of which got a makeover under the quiet. The Apple iPod Nano has gotten a new makeover with a bigger 2” screen and Bluetooth and the Apple iPod Touch now sports iOS 6.0 and Siri Voice...
