Intel’s New Devices Group to launch Vaunt that project VR into your retina

Intel's New Devices Group has been quietly working on a pair of glasses similar to Google Glass. Dubbed the Vaunt, Intel plan to offer them to developers in 2018 to take them out or a spin.   Apparently Intel has managed to make the glasses look like normal glasses by doing something unique yet interesting: simply beam the images directly onto your retina. They're managed to achieve this by doing the following: A very low-power red laser A holographic reflector This isn’t new; rival headset maker Magic Leap originally experimented with this concept. Their idea saw shooting lasers down a spinning optical fiber that projected images directly on your retina, too. This isn't dangerous, so long as the batteries don't increase in intensity. Intel’s McAfee researches Virus attacks on All-Electric Vehicles as AI’s Project SARTRE hits the road

“By 2020, nobody shall be seriously injured or killed in a new Volvo”. Volvo Cars “Vision 2020” Mission Statement Ever since Intel purchased McAfee on August 19th 2012 for US$7.68 billion dollars, Intel’s largest cash acquisition in its forty two (42) year history, Intel has focused more on security being baked into its products. But with these larger hard-drives...

Windows 7 trumps Windows XP for Pole Position – Windows 8 Cloudy Future

This just in, my dear readers! Windows 7 is now the No. 1 Operating System for WinTel (Windows and Intel) machines worldwide. This after bearing the dominance of the Windows XP OS, which has held that position for the last ten (10) years, a testament ironically more to the power of software piracy than the quality of the OS! Personally I find this all surprising, as it was only a six (6) months ago that Windows XP was King of the Hill, according to the Statistics of Consumer Report in April 2011AD the US of A. But statistics never lie and analyst and Web Statistician StatCounter handy graphic shows when the break even point occurred between the months of October 2010AD to September 2011AD. For those with a penchant for words, here is the October 2011AD stats rap sheet: Windows 7 ...
