Google now has a Nexus Family of devices powered by Android

Its been five years since Android came unto the mobile OS scene and what a transformation it has gone though in the past couple years. From a clunky, buggy, not very user-friendly platform to a super smooth, feature rich mobile operating system able to run on a variety of devices. It is my believe that Android has finally matured with the release of the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 coupled with the Google Play Store and partnerships Google forged with Samsung, Asus and LG. The foundation has been laid and going forward Android will only get better and better. Google Nexus Family A Nexus device is much more than simply a phone or tablet. It’s your connection to the best of Google—all of your stuff and entertainment, everywhere you go with no hassle.  Now you have three new Nexus devi...

ASUS Transformer Pad 300 – Quad Core tablet for those on a Budget

It can be argued that along with Apple, Samsung and Amazon, ASUS is a major player and has been very successful so far in the tablet market. Continuing on from the success of the affordable Eee Pad Transformer and it's super powerful successor the Eee Pad Transformer Prime comes the ASUS Transformer Pad 300 a Android 4.0 powered tablet that borrows some of it's traits from it's older siblings. It brings the affordability of the 1st generation Transformer and marries it with the raw power of the Prime to present a very attractive product. No news on price or availability yet but if the price is right I expect these to fly off the shelves. ASUS Transformer Pad 300 Specs Android™ 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 T30L Quad-Core @1.2GHz GeForce® 12-core, 3D stereo (built...

In a year filled with sea of announcements related to Android tablets the only one that floated or wasn't torpedoed by patent lawsuits was the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer. ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Tablet selling like crazy

I just read a PC World article about how the healthy sales figures for the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is "surprising" and I couldn't resist making this post. Why wouldn't the Eee Pad Transformer sell well? Why is it's 400,000 units per month sales figures surprising? It's cheaper than most other tablets, offers many features like USB connection and expandable memory that consumers have been clamoring for plus the icing on the cake which was written off as a gimmick by some is it's docking feature that allows it to take on the form factor of a laptop while extending battery life and adding even more ports and connections. Look beyond the brand I fell in love the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer from the minute I saw it and elaborated a little in my posts - ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is a winner. My...
