2011 Year in Review Social Media Infographic

I surfed into a informative and well designed infographic today that highlights the hottest topics on Twitter, Facebook and Google search. I must confess that that I am somewhat of a analytics and statistics junkie but even I was surprised when I read some of the data in this infographic. Maybe I'm just getting old? PlayStation Vita’s US and Europe Launch Delayed until 2012

The successor the PSP has been delayed and won't arrive in North America and Europe until next year. The is very unfortunate as since being revealed as the "Next Generation Portable" or NGP in January and detailed at their E3 2011 press event the Playstation Vita was creating quite a buzz mostly due to it's specs, featured games and attractive $250 price. With the Nintendo 3DS stumbling out the blocks with lackluster sales, few games and having to resort to big price cut the Playstation Vita was expected to be in a good position to challenge for the handheld gaming crown if it could be available in the lucrative Christmas season. The Vita will be available in Japan in time for Christmas but with the west left out it will put a dent in the Vita's success, just how big or detrimental a de...

Google I/O 2011 conference Overview of Major Announcements

For the last couple years the tech industry has looked forward to an annual two day event put on by Google at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California. The event is called Google I/O Developers Conference and this is where Google showcases what is has been up. Google I/O 2011 as expected focused heavily on Android. The open source operating system with Google as it's overseer has risen to great heights since it revealed it's clunky head not that long ago and is reported to have been activated on 100 million devices worldwide with 400,000 new activations every day. Mix that in with over 200,000 applications available and almost 5 billion app downloads to date and you have a heavyweight of a platform that is open and free that rivals the closed system from Apple and it's iOS devices. ...

Apple iPad S – Apple Refresh on March 2

After a lot of rumours amusingly being proffered by three (3) major newspaper and magazine publications, namely Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal and the New York Times with regards to an Apple iPhone Mini, it would seem a tad ironic that reliable news even exists! That’s the power that one bite from the Bad Apple can do to you folks; a cult following even among those who may not even be Apple aficionados. Thus it is surprising that a reporter Kara Swisher of the online blog All Things Digital has finally nailed it right on the head with something refreshing lacking in all this talk about Apple: actual news. According to her exclusive, Apple is set to debut the Apple iPad 2, (or as I like to call it, the Apple iPad S!) on Wednesday March 2nd 2011. This is solid news and it makes sense o...
