Google Fuses TV and the Internet

Ever wish you could browse the internet on your television? How about watching internet only videos or accessing web friend applications for everything from the weather to a Facebook? Google has it’s eye not just bridging the gap between television and the internet but fusing them together with a newly announced product – Google TV.

“Google TV brings everything you love about the web to your television.” The service will come built into some televisions or separate set-top boxes can be bought. Google has partnered with Sony (global leader is HDTVs), Intel (pioneering chip maker), Logitech (computer peripherals and accessories)  to bring this service to the masses and it is powered by it’s Android operating system and Google Chrome web browser. A short video embedded below that gives a decent overview of what Google TV is.

It will be interesting follow this product once it is launched not only in the North America and Europe but worldwide. Stay tuned to for updates.
