Why Tata Nano and Cherry QQ failed in Jamaica

Owning a motor Vehicle in Jamaica is so complex, they should market as a Vacation experience for foreign tourists! Either that or riding a motor cycle, a motorized bicycle or an electric Motorcycle, which is becoming very popular in Jamaica. A few exist in the community of Swallowfield and which are slowly (and silently!) becoming a huge safety hazard. This ...

Youtube Gaming coming this summer

In an unexpected move we see YouTube entering the long non-contested market of online game streaming. YouTube is getting more serious about gaming and everyone else should too. This summer, the video streaming service will launch YouTube Gaming, a new app and website dedicated to video game content: Let's Plays, livestreams, speedruns and more. After providing a preview of their 60fps streaming service just last month, YouTube has officially announced today the next step in their broadcasting expansion. This comes as a surprise to some people but industry veterans know the history behind all these happenings. Some may even remember the first attempt Google made to get into providing a streaming service last year around May when they were in talks to buy Twitch. Sadly or gladly depending on...

Gaming Gab

Hi everyone; as the rapper TI once said "big things poppin, lil things stoppin"; and here in Jamaica we certainly got big things poppin. Here is a quick round up of some of what you have missed and have upcoming: Clan Pro Circuit Round 3 was a sight to see, with an all new venue and 3 games on the lineup this time around spirits were high. If you are new to the happenings of the Clan P...

#Riverton. Since that fateful day when once again flames engulfed the Riverton Dump the usually robust Jamaican social media space was once again a buzz with over 17,000 tweets going out between March 10th and April 5th 2015 (stats courtesy of Topsy Analytics). Thousands of tweets and posts displaying an array of the emotions of the public spewed forth condemning all and sundry and the Twitter-verse was in a tizzy. But as I scrolled through my timeline and I tittered along to some of the more funny posts about the visit and the preparation activities I could not ignore the darker under belly of some of the posts...
