Samsung invests in remote support for customer convenience

Anywhere in Latin America solving simple setup issues is easier for those who have a Samsung device: the company provides a number of remote support services for the convenience of customers, who don’t need to leave the comfort of their own home to solve problems. According to Samsung, 85% of the services requested were solved remotely, and the level of satisfaction with the service scored over 90 points, in a scale of 1 to 100. That is why the company invests in distance support services for Samsung smartphones, tablets, notebooks and even TV users. The Remote Service, for instance, allows for company engineers to connect to the device to be serviced, in order to offer customers a solution – with no additional costs, with a simple phone call. Why Asteroids are important to Earth’s Future prospects for Interstellar Travel

On February 15, 2013, the Earth survived an expected near-miss with asteroid 367943 Duende. What most people didn't expect was for another asteroid to also come so close as to produce visible effect over Russia. Russian dashcams unexpectedly captured footage of the 19-m wide Chelyabinsk superbolide explosion in our upper atmosphere. In Astronomy and Geology circles, a bolide is an extremely bright meteor, especially one that explodes in the atmosphere. It refers to a fireball about as bright as the full moon, and it is generally considered a synonym for a fireball. A superbolide is a bolide that reaches an apparent magnitude of −17 or brighter, which is roughly 100 times brighter than the full moon. The Chelyabinsk superbolide was not only bright but had a loud concussi...

Samsung Galaxy S10 Review – The Charger was British so I made it Jamaican

I know that this is the regular fast charger that the Samsung Galaxy S10 line usually packs. Here is beside its little cousin, the USB to micro-USB adaptor…… you will see why you mustn’t lose it later as I will explain in part 2 of my review!! But this one had a challenge; it was really made for a British plug system not Jamaican as it had these prongs instead of the regular ones to allow me to plug it into the socket for charging. This was most unfortunate!!! I would have difficulty as I would be unable to charge it. Also, I would have to get an adaptor to fit the circular prongs in order to plug it in and charge it. The charging cable itself was still standard, coming packaged as it always does in its little paper folded placement. I really did not focus much on it, ...

CaribFlix TV and Vueture Entertainment – Rise of the Caribbean Streamers

Streaming of Jamaican and Caribbean content is now a reality in Jamaica. Two streaming platforms, CaribFlix TV and Vueture Entertainment, are aiming to make that possible. The Jamaican entrepreneurs that are making these streaming dreams reality know what they are up against. The big heavyweights in the streaming networks world are lready making inroads into Jamaica: Netflix YouTube TV Hulu Amazon Prime Video Still, it is possible to carve out a niche, especially, as most of the content coming from those top streamers is heavily Americanized. Still, we Jamaicans tend to like anything that is foreign, only subverting to Jamaican made products if it is value for money and has some nostalgic sentiment that reverberates with a large number of the masses. So who e...

Samsung Galaxy S10 Review – Double hole punched and Triple Camera Design

This exciting new smartphone features an odd front-facing camera pairing that had the appearance of a double hole punched in the top of the screen. The S10 Plus front-facing camera is located the upper left hand corner of the S10 Plus. Samsung seems to have borrowed this punch-hole displays trend form the Honor View 20. However, it is hard to spot, as it vanishes into the well chose wallpaper that seems to have been chosen just to make it less obvious that it was there. This made the smartphone look more uniform and should make for some excellent viewing of videos on this amazing Infinity-O screen on both the bigger Galaxy S10 Plus and cheaper Galaxy S10e as I'd mentioned in Samsung Galaxy S10 celebrates a Decade with four unique premium devices. The rear-facing triple ...
