Tech tutorials, howtos and walkthroughs

For those who love the FPS (First Person Shooter) genre but have become tired of the played out World War history and alien invasion based content and want an epic adventure that is based in reality and utilizes what actual exists, in terms of tactics and equipment currently available on the battlefields of the world, well my friends Activision is here for you once again.

First they brought you the first installment of modern warfare in “Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare” which many was pleased with, myself being one of them “Call Of Duty 4” was one of the few “FPS” which consisted of a rich and for many a fulfilling storyline with gameplay to back it and “Modern Warfare 2” is no different I dare say its better it took everything from the first and made it better the only thing that I would complain about is the length of the campaign mode which like its predecessor is rather short and for many perhaps too short. It was a short ride but a fun one none the less its some what like bungee jumping a quick thrill maybe more accurately and almost instantaneous thrill which ends a little too quick.

Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) just like its predecessor starts off offering several gameplay option the traditional campaign (story mode) and multiplayer (online gameplay) which is offered by most FPS but this time around MW2 also through in their version of a “co-ops” mode dubbed “Special Ops” where one can choose to play through a different set of missions with specific objectives or team up with someone else and play though the missions together. I found Modern Warfare 2 intense, entertaining and compelling, at times you are just drawn in even when you don’t wish to play just because you want to finish the story but at times events occur which make you want to see where it is going lead to, personally I’m s lover of a good plot and I believe that it doesn’t matter if I’m playing an Role Playing Game, a FPS or a fighting game, it should at least have a decent story and is just not based on mindless shooting, now now don’t get me wrong mindless shooting can also be entertaining as I find myself running around like a mad man shooting anything that moves and then finding myself with a diabolical grin as the bodies hit the floor but I’ll leave that to multiplayer gameplay and the joy that comes from ragging my friends.

All together I found MW2 entertaining not just to its storyline but due to its interactivity there are certain instances where you choose what you want to do and that will decide how you move on from there nothing ground breaking or story changing but it gives you that little feel of control over the game and a mixture of the game switching from a in game cinematic and out of actual game play and the unorthodox decision of giving you control of some simple things that are often over looked in most FPS which leads to its own little combination of surprise leaving you like “whoa I can control that” contributes to MW2 having its own feel and traits. So with a combination of good content, interactive gameplay and some intense adrenaline pumping shoot outs when you are getting shot from every possible angle I found MW2 enjoyable and would recommend it to anyone who has even the slightest interest in the FPS genre. My only qualm is the duration of the campaign.
