The US$60 to US$110 Alcatel OneTouch Pop C2 is a diminutive 4” screen device that’s great for kids as their first smartphone.

Alcatel OneTouch Pop C2 is the slightly overweight cousin
Alcatel OneTouch Pop C7 aka the DL900 as that went on sale in December 2014 as chronicled in Digicel launches DL900 aka Alcatel Pop C7 as Digicel DL750 on Sale for Christmas 2014.
The 4” TFT capacitive touchscreen smartphone (GSMArena, 2014 July), has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels with 233 ppi pixel density and can display some 256,000 Colours you’ll never see.
With dimensions of 122 x 64.4 x 12 mm (4.80 x 2.54 x 0.47 in) and weighing in at 116 g (4.09 oz) it’s heavier than the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 2 Mini which glided by at 110 g (3.88 oz).
The colour options are surprisingly limited two (2) colours:
- Bluish Black
- Pure White
Alas, for US$60 toUS$100, you get no front-facing camera. The Alcatel OneTouch Pop C2 only has a rear-facing 3.15 Megapixel camera that snaps 2048 x 1536 pixels and shoots Standard definition Video (480p) at 30 fps.
So if Rear-Camera selfies are your thing, you’ll do without the front-facing camera just fine!
Alcatel OneTouch Pop C2 is Dual-Core for Hikers and Fitness Freaks
The Alcatel OneTouch Pop C2 is powered by a Dual-Core 1.3 GHz Processor and runs Google Android 4.3 Jellybean comfortably in 512 MB RAM. It’s got a 4 GB Internal Memory to store your apps, music and other files.

The Alcatel OneTouch Pop C2 also packs a Stereo FM Radio and some bangin’ built in speakers. This ensures that you’ll never miss a T-20 cricket match at Kensington Oval or at Sabina Park.
Alcatel OneTouch Pop C2 has great Battery life for the IM obsessed

It outperforms the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 2 Mini with 510 h of standby time while on the 2G Network and only 400 h standby time on the 3G Network.
Talk-time is also better, with 13 h 30 min of talk-time while on the 2G Network and 9 h 30 min (3G) talk-time on the 3G Network.
Alcatel OneTouch Pop C2 ok albeit it need to go on a diet
The Alcatel OneTouch Pop C2 might not be a top-of-the-line smartphone. But at the ultra-low price ranging from US$60 to US$110, the Alcatel OneTouch Pop C2, it manages fairly decent battery life even though it’s a tad heavy.
In short, for a kiddy smartphone, the Alcatel OneTouch Pop C2 manages to represent, making you little ones feel all grown up and ready for the Road!
