Twitter has unveiled their new @anywhere service at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. @anywhere will allow internet users to interact with websites and website users. Website developers would be able to add @anywhere functionality to their websites by using a simple Javascript code.

Amazon, AdAge, Bing, Citysearch, Digg, eBay, The Huffington Post, Meebo, MSNBC.com, The New York Times, Salesforce.com, Yahoo!, and YouTube are some of the major websites that they report will use the service right away but no date has been set for when it will officially come on-stream but it is expected soon.

An update to the official Twitter Blog introduced the service yesterday:
