As promised, I was back to the Huawei Experience Store located at Shop No. 10 in Tropical Plaza Half-Way-Tree after the preliminary visit on Wednesday July 21st 2016 as per my article The Huawei Experience Store and their Unlocked Dual-SIM Smartphones.
Those Smartphone on sale were talking to me in my sleep. Yes, for I dream of the Experience Room where Earth and Sky met and desired to return once more. So I decided to take a look at two (2) of Huawei’s low-end unlocked dual-SIM smartphones smartphones that are currently in stock:
- JA$18,000 Huawei Y5
- JA$21,000 Huawei Y625
Both Smartphone are priced inclusive of tax and come chock full of Huawei goodness. So I settled in early in the Huawei VIP Room and began taking some snaps of these adorable pillars where Earth meets sky in a dash of Red and White.
Huawei Y5 – Basic smartphone that sports fanatics will love
The Huawei Y5 is quite an interesting entry-level smartphone indeed. Here’s the Huawei Y5 in its packaging as I got up close and personal with it in the Huawei VIP Room.
Released back in June 2015, it’s also known as the Huawei Y560 and comes in the following colours.
The unit I reviewed was black in colour and comes with headphones and a microUSB cable as shown below.
The 4.5-inch FWVGA with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels weight in at 141.5 g (5.01 oz) and has super-slim dimensions of 135.9 x 67.7 x 10 mm (5.35 x 2.67 x 0.39 in). Running on Android Lollipop 5.1 with Emotion Lite 2.3 UI, it’s got quite a power plant under the hood, with a 1.1GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.
That’s expandable to 32GB thanks to a microSD Card slot and features all the bells and whistles you’d expect of an entry level smartphone. It has a built in MP3 player to let you jam to your tunes and a video recorder to record videos which you can transfer using the USB Cable. Cricket fanatic will love the built-in FM radio!
It has a 5 Megapixel Rear-facing Camera features LED Flash and autofocus with 720p video recording at 30fps. The Front-Facing Camera makes the selfie-grade with a 2 Megapixel effort. The removable Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery provides more than enough power for two days without need to be constantly plugging a USB charger, making it possible to recharge anywhere you have a USB port.
So join their Huawei Jamaica Facebook Page check out the Huawei Experience Store as a smartphone awaits you to make loving Huawei Smartphones Possible.
