“We’re now starting to see the fruits of our labour in the mobile sector — a journey that was filled with both thrills and spills. We now continue on that one clear and simple mission to offer Jamaicans the best value for money on the market. Bar none!”

Flow’s Managing Director, Garry Sinclair on the company reaching the 1 millionth customer milestone

Flow Jamaica has finally achieved a milestone that many thought was unreachable.

On Friday May 20th 2016, FLOW Jamaica celebrated reaching their 1 millionth customer with much fanfare as evidenced from the hashtag #thisishowweflow on their FLOW Jamaica Twitter feed.

Smile Jamaica, the morning time program on Television Jamaica, was taken over by FLOW Jamaica and their gigantic cake!

The company went all out with FLOW motorcades set on an islandwide tour to meet up in Rudolph Elder Park in Morant Bay, St Thomas for the big shindig.

And yes, they gave away lots of stuff along with JA$100 credit on the road and on Social Media

They also introduced a JA$0.99 per minute FAM (Free Anywhere Minutes) calling plan for the USA, Canada and UK once you purchased a JA$400 Internet Data Plan.

Not only that, but the Alcatel Pixi was on sale for JA$3500 plus tax and the Huawei Y360 was on sale for JA$2500 plus tax

This is quite an achievement, given that when , Flow’s Managing Director, Garry Sinclair, had become CEO, the then LIME Jamaica had 300,000 mobile subscribers. Now six (6) years and a name change to FLOW Jamaica after buying Quad-play rival Flow as noted in LIME Jamaica Goes with the FLOW thanks to Caribbean-wide Survey, they reached 1 million customers.

Hopefully, they’ll reach 2 million before they roll out their 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) Network thanks to their installation of VDSL to power their FTTH Network as predicted in How FLOW’s 70 Mbps VDSL in St. Ann means FTTH, 4G LTE on North Coast. At that point, they’d really have something to celebrate!
